WESLEY LANCASTER Obituary

LANCASTER, JOHN
WESLEY 'WES', 54
Wes Lancaster passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 16th, 2017.
For 38 years Wes has been known and respected for his talent and artistic abilities in his work as a Master Goldsmith/Jeweler. He started his jewelry career at the age of 16 in Indialantic, Florida.
He was well loved by his wife Alysa of 31 years, his son Jase, his extended family, his friends, his clients and neighbors. Wes will be remembered fondly as a father figure, teacher, and friend because of his kind, mentoring, gentle heart, and ways. He will be remembered by those who knew him closely for his quirky sense of humor and the laughs over his constant enjoyment of you tube videos, Netflix and trying to prank his neighbor on April Fools Day.
He will especially be missed by his extended family, friends, and his neighborhood family.
Husband, father, son, brother, friend, and creator of beautiful treasures, Wes is survived by his wife Alysa (Walker), son Jase, his mother, Floetta Jean Shaul (Las Cruces, NM), his Father Oscar Lee Lancaster (Micanopy), his brother Oscar (Gainesville), brother Steve (Las Cruces, NM), brother Richard (Ocala), aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his son Benjamin Lancaster.
Celebration of Life Services will be held for Wes on Saturday, May 27th, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Episcopal Church at 16921 West Newberry Road, Newberry, FL 32669.

Thinking about you today Wes, and I miss you. You always lifted me up when I was down. I hope you're at peace and hamming it up with Ben. Love you brother.

Hi Dad. Here we are at 6 years. I have so many things I wish I could share with you and Ben. Accomplishments, hardships, thoughts, advice. I wish I could say otherwise, but I would be lying if I said everyday wasnt still a struggle with eveything that happened. I hope you and Ben are together. Finally resting. I love you

Good man, good friend, master jeweler. Every day I wear a Celtic cross every day made from my father's high school ring, Wes refused payment saying this was his gift to me.
Brother you will be missed.
