Earl “Bankie” Banks Roach Sr. Obituary

Earl "Bankie" Banks Roach Sr., 69, of Gainesville passed away on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, at 11 a.m. at White Hall Baptist Church, interment will follow in church cemetery. The Rev. Dwayne Ryals will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Roach was born on Sept. 13, 1944, in Gainesville to the late Jesse Earl Roach and Mamie Lee Fowler Roach. He was retired form Wayne Poultry and a member of Whitehall Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Roach is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janice Roach of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Eddie Reeves of Lula; sons and daughters-in-law, Earl Banks Jr. and Charmian Roach of Lula, Matthew Banks and Misty Roach of Gainesville; grandson and wife, Brett and Allyson Roach; grandson, Andrew Simmons; granddaughter, Kaleigh Simmons; grandson, Taylor Simmons; granddaughter, Haley Roach; grandson, Logan Roach; great-great-grandson, Carson Roach.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Earl was a good kind hearted man. He always made me laugh when he came into pasquales. Earl will be greatly missed by many people.
