Norma Embleton Wilson Obituary

Mrs. Norma Embleton Wilson "Grandma Babe" died Jan. 29, 2009.
Born Dec. 21, 1921, in Levant, Maine, Mrs. Wilson worked at Hamilton Standard, Windsor Locks, Conn., and was the owner and hairdresser of The Beauty Haven, Vernon, Conn. She retired to Fort Pierce, Fla., and moved to Gainesville in 1999.
Mrs. Wilson had an amazing sense of humor that never left her and it is what she will be remembered most for.
Survivors include her son and daughter in-law, Jack and Irene Wilson of Westbrook, Conn.; daughter and son-in-law, Boni and Moran Skinner of Port Richey, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Liona and Dwight Bragdon of Glenburn, Maine; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wilson's family wish to recognize the entire staff of New Horizons West in Gainesville for the exceptional love and tenderness they gave and continue to give. Thank you.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Gainesville, GA 30564.
Private memorial services will be held in Fort Pierce, Fla. at a later date.

Norma was the funniest Aunt a girl could have. Beautiful classy women. She will be missed but I know she is happy to be with her brothers (Bob and Beecher) and sisters (Lou and Thala) in Heaven planning their next weekend party. Love you always Norma, your niece, Bette
