David Neil Obituary

David R. Neil, age 66 of DuBois, PA died Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Born on September 8, 1958 in Brookville, PA, he was the son of the late Elkon D. and Donna (Siple) Neil.

David served in the United States Air Force for 18 years, obtaining the rank of Master Sergeant in 15 years. He worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Human services from 1993 until 2020.

He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish at St. Catherine of Siena.

David received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Development from Penn State University, and a Bachelor of Science Degree of Police Science from the Air Force University.

He is survived by two children (David Neil of DuBois, PA and Kyndra Neil of Kentucky), one brother Donald Neil and his wife Sherry of Iron Station, NC, and three grandchildren; Remington, Mayzlee and Laken.

David was preceded in death by his former wife Lorraine Hirth.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 from 9 AM – 11 AM from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

A funeral service will follow at 11 AM from the funeral home with Msgr. Richard Siefer officiating.

Full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.

Burial will take place in St. Catherine Cemetery.
