Mark Royer Obituary

Mark A. Royer, age 58 of Reynoldsville, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born on November 6, 1966 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Michael W. "Mick" and Lola Mae (Fletcher) Royer.

On June 23, 1990 he married his wife of 35 years, Gina (Bruzga) Royer. She survives.

Mark worked in Facilities Management at the Pennsylvania State University DuBois Campus. Previous to that, he worked for 17 years at the Brookville Area School District in the same capacity.

He had a deep love for anything with wheels and a motor-especially his prized '69 Z28 Camaro that he was always fine-tuning to enhance its speed. He was happiest with grease on his hands and a project underway. There was truly nothing he couldn't fix. He loved tinkering in his garage and spending many days hunting, fishing with his grandkids, and riding dirt bikes.

More than anything, he adored his wife, children, and grandchildren who were the joys of his life, and he took pride in being the ultimate provider and protector for his family. He loved taking trips with his family and friends to the Outer Banks and the shores of Siesta Key. His genuine kindness, candid humor, and steadfast love will forever be remembered by everyone lucky enough to have known him.

Along with his wife, Mark is survived by his children (Jacey Royer and her husband Chuck Golder of Downingtown, PA, Jordan Gillespie and her husband Ethan of DuBois, PA, Erin Troup and her husband TJ of Scottsville, VA, and Braden Royer and his companion Lea Mousso of Arvada, CO), four grandchildren (Reagan, Maeve, Brynn and Silas), and two brothers (Gerald Royer, and David Royer both of DuBois, PA).

He was preceded in death by his niece (Nicole Royer).

There will be no public visitation.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 1 – 4 PM at the I.P. & S. Gateway Sportsman Pavillion on Wayne Road in DuBois.

Interment will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.
