Todd Thompson Obituary
Born on January 18, 1941 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas and Elsie (Zartman) Thompson McGaughey.
On August 21, 1965 he married his wife of 59 years, Susan A. (Cunningham) Thompson. She survives.
Todd retired from the DuBois Area School District after a 38-year career as a history teacher.
He was a 60-year member of Bethel Baptist Church in Sykesville, PA, where he was very active in church affairs. Todd was also a founding member, and very active in the DuBois Historical Society. He taught for over 20 years, providing Act 48 Certification Courses to teachers for Performance Learning Systems. Todd was also a long- time member of the Jefferson County Farm Bureau.
Along with his wife, Todd is survived by his children (Tharren Thompson and his wife Jodee of Reynoldsville, PA, Thomas Darby Thompson of Knox, PA and Amanda Suzanne Thompson of DuBois, PA), seven grandchildren (Caleb, Levi, Hannah, Selah, Eleanor, Simeon and Reuben).
He was preceded in death by two sisters (Betty Walls and Irene Keister).
There will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 6 p.m. from the Bethel Baptist Church in Sykesville, PA with Todd's son, Pastor Tharren Thompson, officiating.
Burial was in Prospect Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 100 East Main St., Sykesville, PA 15865.
The Baronick Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
