Bob Schafer Obituary
He was born in Allentown, Pa. to the late Norman George Schafer and Harriett Janet Higgins Schafer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Schafer and his father-in-law George Lewis.
Bob was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish his memories includes his wife of 40 years, Alicia "Lesa" Lewis Schafer; a son Robby Schafer and his daughter Ada, a daughter Kelly and husband Wes Hepler and their son Schae; brothers, Norman Schafer and Glen Schafer; mother-in-law, Joanne Lewis; brother-in- law, Mike Lewis and wife Amy; sister-in-laws, Ann Ledford, Lynn and husband Chris Glover; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, Dec. 17 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Philadelphia Lutheran Church, 1910 Philadelphia Church Road, Dallas, NC with a Memorial Service to follow at 1 p.m.
Interment will be private at a later date.

I knew Bob back in the "bullfrog knit" era and his wife Lesa was my son Waylon's teacher. I will always remember the kind and funny words and all the shennagans at work. Bob was a kind man and always had a kind word for everybody..he will be truly missed and I have never forgotten him after all these years and I feel truly Blessed to have known him. ..I Pray for God's comfort for the family...

Lesa I am so very sorry for you and your family's loss. I didn't know Bob well and I haven't seen him in a very long time. But I remember visiting you and Bob quite a few times when Ann and I were close friends. He always made me laugh and feel very welcome in your home. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers. I am so saddened to hear of Bob's passing. I was a classmate of Rob's and I will always have fond memories of Bob. He was always smiling, laughing and a little bit of a jokester, from what I can remember. My thoughts and prayer's are with the Schafer family during this extremely difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear about Bob. Everybody loved him and I will always remember him laughing at Schae and Baylor's orientation saying he was going to get you for sending him with all the grandmas. We knew he was where he wanted to be. All of you are in my prayers!
