Casey Blackwelder Obituary
The family will be accepting visitors at the home, 211 N. High Street in Lincolnton, on Thursday and Friday until 8 p.m.
A celebration of life service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cherryville.
The family will also have a reception following the service in the fellowship hall at Mt. Zion Baptist Church to greet guests.
Burial will be private.
A guest register is available at www.stameycherryvillefuneralhome.com.
Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the Blackwelder family.

Dear Casey,
It was many years ago that I met you on that one occasion at the old library. How impressed I was by your outgoing personality and skill; how grateful we were to have your help during the childrens program. You were astonishing and a lot of fun, and children and adults alike were simply drawn to you. And it was warm and lovely to witness how deeply you were loved and cherished by your family.
How can it be that you have left us here, so soon. Too soon for all left here to mourn. Yet what a celebration, this life of yours! You lived with purpose and determination. You followed your dreams. Your loved ones and your many accomplishments attest to this, so that even a person who met you only one time can plainly see that you became a great man.
I aim to never forget you, Casey B. Thank you for being wonderful you. Please look out for us, especially all your family, and I will be keeping you and yours close in heart and always in my prayers.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I knew Casey as a music student at UNC Charlotte great young man. Sad to hear of his passing.
