David Ross Obituary
He was born in Gaston County, NC on January 23, 1953 to the late Harold Edward and Helen Barrett Ross.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Mike and Nathan Ross and sisters, Patricia Ross, Jane Ross
David was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed!
He loved his family and friends. David enjoyed any opportunity he had to be doing things outside his house. He loved being outdoors.
Left to cherish his memories includes his loving wife of 46 years, Mary Helen Dixon Ross; sons, Rev. Franklin David Ross Jr., and wife Stefanie; Jason Scott
Ross and wife Jackie; daughter, Nichole Ross Tompkins and husband Duane; 10 grandchildren; sister, Rebekah Allen and husband Danny; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4 at Bessemer City Community Church with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 3 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Mike Criswell and Rev. David Ross, Jr., officiating. Pallbearers will be Jason Ross, Danny Allen, Thomas Holland, Duane Tompkins, Zack Tompkins and Jason Arrowood.
Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
