To Glenda, Karan, Melissa, and Jason:
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. Donnie, or "Brother Don" as he was affectionately known around the Messer home, will be greatly missed. Donnie & Glenda were long time friends of my mom & dad, Bobby & Betsy, and were just like part of our family--always over for evening hours of pitching horseshoes or just sitting out on the front porch, and Sunday mornings were all about coffee and orange rolls. Brother Don also kept my girls, Jennifer and Kellie laughing when they were just babies, singing songs to them and making funny faces. Thanks, Donnie for such special memories--you'll be greatly missed! God bless you all.

To the Family and Friends of Donnie Gordon, I send my deepest sympathy.
I have known Donnie and his family all his life. I remember when he and Ronnie were born. I have enjoyed our close Friendship from the time he was just a baby. I have loved Donnie and his family, as I would my own, we have shared tears and joy, hardships and plenty.
I have lost another precious Brother in Donnie. I have a lifetime of “Precious Memories” and the promise of being reunited in the future. I invite all who know and Love Donnie to make Jesus Christ as their Savior, that we all can be reunited once again,
May God Bless and keep you, every one, All my love..
Being born on a Mill Village such as Ole Bowling Green
Families became as one, it would lovingly, seem,
We shared each others joys and of course the tears
We shared each other’s burdens, through the years
Our circle has grown smaller, of the elderly kind
And new ones are born as God Blesses us through time
There are some, we think, that will never part
And when they do we’re devastated, it breaks our heart.
This week, Donnie Gordon went to be with the Lord
We have a chance to re-unite, according to God’s Word.
Our families are large with many deceased
The reunion will be glorious as the numbers increase.
I look forward to The Day of The LORD
With HIS mighty shout, the dead shall come forward
Followed by the gathering of Christians, in the skies
We will given Glorious bodies as in Heaven, we rise.
No pain, no sorrow or tears in our eyes,
No strokes, nor cancer, or trouble with the insides
We will fall at the feet of our God on HIS throne
He will comfort us and say, “My beloved Child, welcome home.”
