Thomas, Sandra, & Janet,
Wish I could have said this at the funeral, but I knew I would never get it all out. Your mom and your whole family are very special to Rocky, Jesse, and me. I feel like you have helped raise our son, Jesse. He's been coming to Home Folk's to "visit" for a long time. Thanks to you all . Doris will always be very special to us and so will each of you. We love you!

Dear Thomas, Sandra and Janet, so sorry to hear about your Mom. We knew she was ill, and heard of her passing when we were leaving town. I know you all will miss her dearly, and that you will keep her in your hearts always. She sure did enjoy being with you all and nothing pleased her more than your travels together. I know she would want you to continue to travel and have fun together and to enjoy time off from the restaurant. We are praying for consolation in your sorrow. Love, Bob and Bede Roberts

My family and I have you in our thoughts and prayers. Doris will be missed at Homefolks and the community. We are so sorry for your loss. I brought my grandson, Hunter, every Wednesday morning for prayer breakfast and Doris usually would give him bubble gum. She was a special lady.

I always enjoyed talking with Doris at the cafe and at Heafner Bros. She was very kind and I knew she knew the Lord and is now in God's loving arms. She often said that all we had in this world was God and each other.. How true.May you all be comforted to know she now rests with God. Mike Grayson Lincolnton
