Gary Walls Obituary
He was born in Meclenburg County and raised in Gaston County, son of Howard and Doris Walls and the late Katherine Carlisle Wentz.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Friday at South Point Baptist Church.
Interment is at Hillcrest Gardens.
Gary was vice president of Walls Construction. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He loved family more than anything and was a friend to all who knew him. He was everybody's "go to guy."
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Christina Morgan Walls; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeremy and Christina Walls of Lake Wylie, S.C., Adam and Dawn Sides of Newton, Kenny Sides of the home and Noah, also of the home; stepfather, Don Wentz of Belmont; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kevin and Tracy Walls of Mount Holly and Keith and Valarie Boughman of Sugar Grove; sisters and brothers-in-law, Merodie and David Bolin of Gastonia, Janet and Andy Lully of Stanley and Renee Boughman of Boone; grandchildren, Rylee Walls, Christina Alexys Sides and Emilie Murphy; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Jonah and Alice Stowe Walls and Zora Armstrong and Calvin Carlisle.
Dr. James C. Hilton will be officiating.

I was saddened to read about Gary's passing. I knew Gary when he was small child attending Centerview Bapt Church during the time my Dad was pastor (1955 to 1962). My thoughts & prayers are with each of you.

i was online reading a friends guest book that recently passed and accidently ran across Garys pic. i was totally shocked, not sure what happened , i just run into you guys once in a while normally on our bikes. My heart goes out to you- Tina, Adam and Kenny. Also to everyone else even though i didnt know them. Sorry i couldnt make it to the visitation, his smile will surely be missed. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.
