James McClure Obituary

GASTONIA - James A. McClure, 91, of Gastonia passed away April 19, 2021. He was born October 29, 1929 in Ellijay, Georgia, a son of  the late Garfield Lee McClure and Mamie Lowman McClure.
Jim attended North Georgia Military College and was a United States Army Veteran, 101st Airborne. He was a member of Gastonia Masonic Lodge #369, Scottish Rite, Oasis Shriners, Oasis Wagoneers, and the Christian Motorcycle Association. He served as the past president of the Gaston County Shrine Club.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Charlotte Ann McClure; 2 sons; 2 daughters; Ann's children, Lee Ann Brown, Gerald Lee Brown, Jr., and Kecia Brown Woodie; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia at 2:00pm, Monday, April 26, 2021 with Pastor John Stanley officiating.  
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Greenville, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
