Brother Faulkner and family: We (Sherri and I) just heard about the passing of Josh. We are so sorry for your loss. We know what proud and loving parents you and Terry are of him; for whenever either one of you spoke about his many activities we could always see the excitement in your eyes. As Christians we know that Josh is in a far better place and it is we who are left on earth, who hurt. I remember the two times the Bible mentions when Jesus wept. One of which was when He heard of the passing of Lazarus. Even though Jesus said He would heal the child, Jesus still wept. I believe He wept because He felt the same pain that Lazarus’ family and friends were feeling. In like manner, I also believe Jesus weeps with you. We pray that God will give you abundant peace to endure these difficult days.

I had the opportunity to meet Josh and your family the evening that Standing on the Rock came to play at your church. Josh came right over and sat at our table during the fellowship time after the service, and I will forever remember his kind heart and the joy he brought to everyone in that room. You are all in my prayers and will continue to be in the days to come.

I know this is a very hard time for you. You don't know me but I am a Christian when I saw you sons picture in the paper my heart went out to you. I know your pain and still have it I lost my son 3 years ago to murder. I can tell that the only way that I have made it is though the loving arms of God. I still cry and sometimes I want to sceam but I call on God at those times and he gives me the peace that is needed for that time. May God comfort and keep you strong in this trying time.
