Pauline Cook Obituary
She was a native of Gaston County, born July 28, 1929, to the late Loy Walter and Lanie Jane Stroupe Cloninger.
She was a 1947 graduate of Clover High School and a graduate of Evans Business College. Pauline was a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church. She was Secretary for the Gaston Country Club for over 37 years. She was a member and past president of Professional Secretaries International Assoc.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Franklin Calvin Cook and a daughter Renae Cook, sister Betty Rice.
Survivors include her daughter Janice Sullivan and husband Paul of Seattle, WA.; grandchildren, Monica and Brian Sullivan; great-grandchildren, Taylor Renae and Brandon; brothers, Billy Cloninger of McConnells and Harold Clon-inger of Clover, S.C.; sister, Jean Robinson of Clover, S.C.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home
A celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with the Rev. Rich-ard Brown officiating.
Interment will follow in the Sandy Plains Baptist Church Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sandy Plains Baptist Church Building Fund, 5323 Union Road, Gastonia, North Carolina 28056.

I am so very sorry to hear of Pauline's death. My prayers go out to all of the family. She was such a very special person. I was the receptionist at Park Pointe Village for about 6 years and before that I worked in the dining room. I had the great pleasure of serving her in the dining room and she was a great help to me as a volunteer at the front desk. She was a great person and will be missed. Pauline was always full of the love of the Lord. She showed us this by the many hugs, words of encouragement, and love she gave us, unconditionally. Our hearts break because we can't have her with us on this earth anymore but we look expectantly to see her again in heaven. We are thankful to have been blessed by her. We love you so much Pauline!
