Thomas Partlow Obituary

RALEIGH - Thomas J. Partlow, 69, of 7100 Ray Road, son of the late Booker T. and Bertha Tate Partlow, was born Oct. 6, 1946, in Gaston County, and departed this life on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, after a long battle with cancer.

Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Frankie Partlow Harris, and brother, Booker T. Partlow Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta G. Partlow, of the home; daughters, Charlotte Pettis (Maurice), of Kings Mountain, Melissa Partlow, of Staten Island, N.Y., Tanya Thompson (Tyrone), of New Jersey, and Rashunda Partlow, of Queens, N.Y.; sons, Carlton Rainey (Annette), of Gastonia, Brian Partlow, of Fuquay-Varina; brothers, James Partlow (Faye) and Tony Partlow (Doris), of Gastonia; sister-in-law, Virginia Partlow, of Manhattan, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services 12:30 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2016, at Baptist Grove Church, 7109 Leesville Road, Raleigh.

Burial in church cemetery.

Public viewing 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at funeral home.

Visitation noon to 12:30 p.m. Monday at church.

Steven Lyons Funeral Home, 1515 New Bern Ave., Raleigh, has charge of arrangements.

Local arrangements are by Costner Funeral Home.
