Helen Ramsey Obituary
Easthampton, MA — Helen C. (Michonski) Ramsey, 87, of Easthampton, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on Friday, September 3, 2021. Helen was born in Northampton on January 20, 1934, the daughter of the late John and Sophie (Naprawa) Michonski. She was educated at the former Sacred Heart School in Easthampton, a graduate of Easthampton High School, and also graduated as a Registered Nurse from the former Cooley Dickinson Hospital, School of Nursing. Helen worked for many years as a School Nurse for the Easthampton Public Schools. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Valley Parish in Easthampton. Her beloved husband of 59 years, John W. "Jack" Ramsey Jr., passed away in 2013. Helen leaves her loving children, David J. Ramsey and his partner Debra Kaczowski, Diane E. Ramsey, Suzanne R. Hatch and her husband, Robert, and Mark J. Ramsey; her former daughter-in-law Rita Toole; her nine adored grandchildren, and her many nieces and nephews.
Helen will be remembered for her lifelong devotion to nursing and caring for others. She often said she had a wonderful life: the best husband, great children and grandchildren, and close longtime friends. Helen always loved traveling with her husband, Jack, whether across the country; vacations in Maine; to Ireland and Bermuda; or just breakfast on the Cape. A private graveside service and celebration of life gathering were held. Memorial gifts may be made to Operation Smile, 3641 Faculty Boulevard, Virginia Beach, VA 23453. The O'Brien Funeral Home 17 Clark St. Easthampton was entrusted with Helen's arrangements.

My dear cousins, I am so sorry to hear of Helen's passing. She was a beautiful and loving person dedicated to helping others as is stated in the obit. Sending sincere thoughts of love and prayers as you grieve the loss of your wonderful mother. She and Jack are once again joined. Wishing you all peace as you grieve her loss. God Bless!
