Robert Stackow Obituary

Robert "Stacks" M. Stackow Sr.

W. Springfield, MA - Robert M. "Stacks" Stackow Sr., 78, of W. Springfield, formerly of Florence, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Hillside of Providence in W. Springfield, on Monday, May 29th. He was born in Northampton on June 17, 1944, to the late John and Mary (Bridgeman) Stackow. Bob had attended schools in Northampton and was a truck driver for F.W. Webb for several years before his retirement.

Bob loved the game of baseball; especially watching and cheering for the New York Yankees. When his children were growing up, he ran Farm League Baseball and was also a Boy Scout Leader, Troup 110. He enjoyed playing golf and bowling with friends and family throughout the years and adored dancing around to his favorite music with his wife Diane, and daughter Tara. Bob and Diane loved to travel together, particularly visiting the beautiful island, Aruba, numerous times. But, most of all, he loved and adored his grandchildren and family. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Diane (Stephens) Stackow, of W. Springfield, daughter, Tara Stackow and her partner, Laura Kuhnel of W. Springfield, sons, Robert Jr. and his wife Karen of Belchertown, Kevin, and his partner Gina Federico of W. Hartford, sister, Bonnie Kellogg of Chesterfield, grandchildren; Monica, Abbegale, Meaghan Connelly, Hendrix and Rose Stackow, and Sophia and Lilly Muslim, other beloved family members including Holly Kellogg, Steve and Lesley Kellogg, Karen Stackow, Kim Henn and family, Ryan Cutler and family, David Cutler, Tom and Nancy Coogan, and many dear friends.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother John and sister Patty Ziegler and beloved nephew Tim Cutler.

The family would like to Thank all the staff at Mercy Life Pace and Joanna, Stella and Sabrina from Spectrum Hospice for all your loving care of Stacks.

Sorry for the loss of Bob. I spent many good times with Bob camping and other events with BSA troop 110,
If Charlie Baranowski was still with us I know he could tell many story about bob and his antics on campouts.
He will be missed.
