SHIRLEY ANNE (RUTLEDGE) STACKOW, age 81, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on August 14, 2025. She was born on May 5, 1944, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Thomas and Inez Rutledge. Shirley was the devoted wife of the late Paul Stackow, caring mother of the late Dru Mooney, adoring grandmother of Avery Ellis, loving sister of Jim Rutledge (Diane), and cherished aunt of Jill Gaba (Joe) and Jim Rutledge (Traci Schultz). She worked as a legal secretary, where she was admired for her dedication, attention to detail, and warmth. Shirley also enjoyed the simple joys of life-spending time in nature, playing games, traveling, and being surrounded by her family. In recent years, she especially treasured attending Bible Study with her dear friends, where she grew ever closer to Jesus. Her greatest joy was her family, and she treasured every moment with her beloved granddaughter Avery. Shirley's kindness, sparkling eyes, sense of humor, and warm smile leave a lasting impression on all who knew her. We rest in the promise of John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." Shirley will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of her family and friends. FRIENDS AND FAMILY MAY GATHER FOR A CELEBRATION OF LIFE AT SUMMIT POINT, 9633 VALLEY VIEW ROAD, MACEDONIA ON SEPTEMBER 3, 2025 AT 3:00 PM. The family will also gather for a private Celebration of Life dinner in Shirley's honor.
