Walter L. Taylor, age 79 of Walton Hills, passed away on February 2, 2026. He was born on March 25, 1946, in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late Walter and Marian (nee Levesque) Taylor. Beloved husband of Laurie, caring father to Dawn Ward (Rick), Debbie Taylor-Lacher (Vince), Stacey Paskowski (Mark), and Ryan Taylor, loving dog father to Stewie, adoring grandfather of Mitchell, Hannah, Gavin, Gunnar, Griffin, Garrett, Kyle, Curtis (Katelyn), Samantha, Cooper, and furry grand dog, Ardennes, warm great-grandfather to Graceyn. Walter was a brother to Kathy Lusk, Laura Taylor, Philip Grubenhoff, and the late Christine Frances and late Gregory Taylor, stepbrother to Jon, Carol, Richard, David, and the late Shirley and late William, and caring brother-in-law to Christy Chambliss (Ken), Gary Fuchs, Jay Fuchs, Karen Stem, and the late Dale Fuchs and late Kathy Fuchs. Devoted stepson of the late Victor Grubenhoff. Walter graduated from Solon High School and worked in the construction industry for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors and going fishing. He liked to go bowling and play golf. Walter was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Bedford. Friends and family are asked to gather at ST. MARY ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 340 UNION STREET, BEDFORD FOR VISITATION ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2026, FROM 10-11 AM, Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 AM. The church kindly requests no flowers.
