Jodi Lynne Lysne

1965 - 2024

Minneapolis, MN - Jodi Lynn Lysne, 59, passed away unexpectedly on October 6, 2024. She is the daughter of Leonard and Judy Callison Holub of Janesville, WI. Jodi was born on July 6, 1965 in Janesville, WI. She grew up in Janesville and graduated from Craig High School in 1983. After graduation she worked at various jobs including General Motors while taking courses at U-Rock Janesville. She then attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison and graduated with a Bachelor degree. Jodi worked as General Manager at GAP Stores as well as Eddie Bauer Stores in Las Vegas and Minneapolis for several years. She also worked as office manager at Fly Over America at the Mall of America in Minneapolis. She recently worked at Summit Brewery in St. Paul, MN.

Jodi was engaged to Brett Shelstad of Minneapolis, MN. She and Brett loved going to concerts and sporting events including the MN Vikings and the MN Wild Hockey Team. They also loved spending weekends at the beautiful "cabin" near Brainerd, MN where they were often found on the lake on the pontoon boat in summers and snowmobiling during winter months. They also enjoyed coming to Wisconsin spending time in the country at Jodi's parent's place near Alma Center, WI. Jodi and Brett loved their three dogs, Jax, Lena and Snoopy. They were their family.

Jodi loved to travel and had been to Mexico, Thailand, on a Panama Canal Cruise and to many states in the United States. Jodi was a very kind and thoughtful person and was always so organized. She was a good cook and enjoyed making her favorite dishes for Brett as well as for family and friends.

- Jodi is survived by her parents, her brothers, Leonard Holub, Jr. (Kris) and Jeff Holub (Kim) and her nephews, Aidan Holub of Beloit, WI, Chad Holub (Tracy) of Peyton, CO and nieces, Stephanie McMurray (Alan) of Ellsworth Air Force Base, S. D. and Stacey Hudson (Travis) of Cabot, AR. Also several aunts, uncles and great nieces and nephews.

Her deceased family includes Brett Shelstad (October 6, 2024), her father John Topp, Jr. and grandparents Frances and Bruce Callison and Muriel and John Topp, Sr. Crescent Tide Cremation Services in St. Paul, MN is helping the family. Future plans will be made at a later date.
