Janesville, WI - Norbert R. Danczyk, 84, passed away with his family surrounding him on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. He was born the seventh child of nine and the last born on the family farm on May 15, 1939, in the Town of Dewey, WI, to the late Bernard J. and Angeline E. (Dulak) Danczyk. He would be drafted in the U.S. Army on December 1, 1962, be stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War and be honorably discharged on November 23, 1964. On August 6, 1966, Norbert would marry the former Ann Marie Kielpinski at St. Mary Catholic Church, Torun, Wisconsin. Norbert would work as a welder for GM for 31 years.
Norbert was a member of St. William Catholic Church, the UAW Local 95, and American Legion. He enjoyed listening to Polka and Country music, antiquing, reading, doing word searches, and collecting clocks and Smokey Bear memorabilia. He was never late for anything, could fix everything, and was a human GPS. He was a true Chevy man, liking Corvettes and vans and also loved old tractors including John Deere and Ford.
Norbert is survived by his wife Ann Marie Danczyk; children: Nancy (Jon) Maly, Roger (Becky Grant) Danczyk and Denise Danczyk; step grandchildren: Cassandra and Bethany; step great grandchild: Hannah; his beloved cat, Chipper; two siblings: Regina Ecklund and Dennis Danczyk; sisters-in-law Adeline Danczyk and Jeanette Danczyk; brothers-in-law Norman (Rose) Kielpinski and Mike Kielpinski; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Angeline; brothers: Casmier (Eileen), David, Raymond (Josephine), Harry, and Clarence Danczyk; sister Cecilia "Ceil" (Bernard) Hoppa; brother-in-law Fred Ecklund; sisters-in-law Ruth Danczyk and Elsie (Chester) Hintz; mother and father-in-law Felix and Laura Kielpinski; nephews Earl and LeRoy Hintz; and niece Karen Kawleski.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 11, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. William Catholic Church, Janesville with Fr. Vince Racanelli presiding and Rev. Mark J.R. Danczyk concelebrating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM until time of Mass at church. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Janesville.
