Robert Warn Obituary
He attended Shopiere School and Beloit Memorial High School. He also attended UW Platteville and Northern IL University. His first teaching job was in a one room rural school and he retired after 42 years of teaching from the Clinton Community. On January 11, 1969, Bob married Cynthia "Cindy" Vandermyde in Chicago, IL.
Bob and Cindy loved to travel in their camper throughout the U.S. and Canada, especially out West visiting the National Parks. They were avid gardeners and loved tending to their flowers. Bob was a member of Cargill United Methodist Church.
Bob is survived by his wife of 56 years, Cindy; nieces and nephews: Karl (Pricilla) Stegenga, Cindy (Dan) Hauser, Steve (Nancy) Warn, Lynn (Bear) Watkins, Matt (Kristin) Stegenga, Lisa (Tim) McDonald, Mike (Beth) Grenawalt, Kurt (Judy) Stegenga and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews and cousins. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard (Eileen) Warn; sister, Mary (Dallas) Grenawalt, sister-in-law, Charmaine (Henry) Stegenga, and great nephew, Benjamin, in-laws, Ray (Effie) Vandermyde.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Crest Chapel on Thursday, January 9, 2025 with a visitation at 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Luther Valley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Bob's honor to Cargill United Methodist Church or Cedar Crest Foundation. SCHNEIDER FUNERAL DIRECTORS is assisting the family.
