STEVEN EDWARD KRAUS Steven Edward Kraus (57), of Redmond, Washington, passed away on February 21, 2023, with complications from his heart. Steven, fondly known as Steve was born to Sharon and Edward Kraus on August 3, 1965, in Garden City, Kansas. He was a talented musician who received many awards for playing the saxophone. Throughout his life he was driven by his love of the arts and technology. This led him to a 25-year career at Microsoft where he received many awards and accolades including living in Bangalore, India opening the 1st campus. Steve's main priority in life were his children. He was their number one fan, always there for them, whether he was pulling pranks, teaching them a life lesson, or to offer his love, support, and encouragement. He will always be remembered as a loving Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, and Friend. He was preceded in death by his father Ed Kraus. He is survived by Zachary Kraus (Son), Hailey Kraus (Daughter), Sharon Kraus (Mother), Tim Kraus (Brother), Alex and Marcus Kraus (Nephews). While Steve left us far too soon, the impact he had on our community will be felt for years to come. He brought out the best in people with his smile that would light a room. His commitment to improve the lives of others will remain unmatched. Celebration of life will be held at a later date in Garden City.
