Barbara Ancheta Obituary
She was 85 years old. Barbara was a Professional graduate from Bryant & Stratton College of Commerce and had many certifications and accolades from San Jose State university. She worked for the Dole corporation until she retired in 1987 originally located in San Jose, Ca. and later San Francisco, Ca. Barbara was one of the first female managers at corporate headquarters. She loved the outdoors fishing and traveling, her corporate position allowed her access to the beach cottage on Oahu where she and her family would vacation from time to time. She had a passion for gardening, plants, and especially flowers and vegetables. She was also an avid quilt maker and loved knitting. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother and would go by "GG." Her greatest joy was being with family.
She is survived by her children: Carol and her husband Joerg Ferchau of Morgan Hill, Sharon Swinyard of Laguna Beach, Crispulo Ancheta of Campbell, Theodore Ancheta of Campbell, Lawrence and his wife Heather Ancheta of Gilroy. Grandchildren, Kristal, Jurgen and Kurtis Ferchau, Nisa Garner, Madison and Myles Moran, Johnathan, Sharon, Oliver and Logan Seitz, Kalea and Makai Ancheta: Great grandchildren: Samantha, and Valarie Granados, Aryan Ward, Maximilian Nguyen, Alexa Ferchau, Kellen and Amory Dobbertin, Raine, Rian, and Reagan Sietz: Great great grandchildren: Kairi Do, Charlotte Salmeron, Luis Silva, Jhenae Rodriguez. Siblings: Ray Montero of West Richland WA, Dovie Hernandez of Sacramento CA, Sonny Bermodes of Walker Lake NE, Phillip Bermodes of Stockton CA, Step Siblings: Lena Bermodes of Portland OR, Lucky Bermodes of Stockton CA, Nita Bermodes of Linden CA, Danny Bermodes Anchorage AL, and Thomas Bermodes of Stockton CA.
Celebration of Life for Barbara to be scheduled at a later date.
Arrangements by Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.

I knew Barbara for almost half a century now. As a teenager, I would often stop by the Ancheta household in the evening to visit, and I was always invited to join for dinner. I remember fondly the Ancheta family get-togethers, barbecues and the deep sea fishing trip. She was a wonderful lady. Rest peacefully dear Barbara, and God bless. Ancheta family - sincere condolences to your family. Your mom was a treasure and such an incredible hard worker! I remember the days of her traveling by bus to Dole. What a trip that must’ve been! Now she joins Florence and Tina, may she rest easy.

For all the years that I’ve known Barbara she was always a beautiful person inside and out. She always was there to give me good advice, and I will always treasure that I just remember going to see her during Christmas and she would love to be baking for her loved ones. She was a very strong woman and she loved her flowers. Planning them. And gil just being outdoors. Thank you for all the years of friendship Barbara I will treasure those memories with me and I will always remember your beautiful smile high Barbara you earned your wings love you Ophelia❤
