Peggy Sue (Bass) Canzonieri passed from this life on December 30, 2025, in Sun City West, AZ at the age of 76.

Peggy Sue was born on Friday, September 16, 1949, in Lovington, NM to Frank Devin "FD" Bass Jr. and Pauline Virginia (Bollinger) Bass. Peggy was raised as a child on the Bass Ranch about 8 miles north of Tatum, NM. She lived in various places, settling as a teenager and graduating from Clovis High School, Clovis, NM on May 25, 1967. Class of 1967.

Peggy Sue married Barry Bennett after graduating from college where they traveled the world and had many adventures. They were together about 5 years and Peggy was in Albuquerque, NM for a time until she moved to San Jose, CA and attended San Jose State where she went to work for Safeway and retired from there.

Peggy Sue was very much involved with her church and met Ron Canzonieri and they married in May of 1992. Where they began working together with the church in various roles and volunteering their time abundantly. They moved to Surprise, AZ in 2004 after working for SRF (Self Realization Fellowship) for 7 years in Los Angeles. Peggy Sue was a very gentle, caring and loving soul who positively touched many peoples lives. She was liked and respected by many and never said an unkind word about anyone. She was a friend to all.

Peggy Sue was avid and excellent at Needle Point and devoted a lot of time and many hours mastering her craft. She also enjoyed line dancing regularly when she could.

Peggy Sue was preceded in death by both parents Frank Devin "FD" Bass Jr. and Pauline Virginia Bollinger, as well as many other family members.

Peggy Sue is survived by sister Patricia Maddox of Las Vegas, NV, and Geraldine Bass of Lubbock, TX.

Peggy Sue's legacy is one of Love, Faith, and Family devotion. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Services are pending for a later date in the near future in Las Vegas, Nevada. Details forthcoming.
