Hello my name is David Mingus and I would like to share a story with you
I played football at Gilroy High I was in the class of 1975 and Coach Fahey gave me a lesson in the proper way to block & tackle and I can still remember thinking that this guy is a little bit crazy
We had two a day practice it was about 100 degrees and one day I found out quickly that coach was a great guy tough as nails
He was a little upset with me because I was not using my face guard so he grabbed it and began to yell “some one get me a screwdriver I want to take off my face guard “ I was not using it anyway
Jim was a great man and I respect him for all he did for me
That’s David

Rest In Peace Mr, Fahey. You inspired my entire family and showed us what it meant to be a real champion. Regrets to the entire Fahey family.

Dear Coach Fahey, you will be fondly remembered by so many former students and wrestlers. You will always be a local titan. My condolences to your family. God bless.

God Bless Jim Fahey! I don't think I have ever met a nicer or more sincere man.
