I just received information that Lynn Lockhart died on March 21st. He was a fabulous and a kind person. I enjoyed working with him when I was an English teacher and ASB Director at Britton Middle School. He had a great sense of humor. He was patient and truly enjoyed working with his students.
It was an honor to have him as a colleague and friend. My prayers to the family.
Sincerely,
Caroline Caracciolo

I’m so sorry to hear this sad news. I taught with Lynn at Britton and also remember his kindness and patience. Other good memories involve the noontime bridge game, duplicate bridge at Lynn’s and Penny’s, and a wonderful evening of bridge at Doc Rickey’s Lab on Cannery Row, thanks to the Lockharts’ membership. Lynn and Penny hosted another function there with a buffet on October 4, 1987 attended by many Britton colleagues. I remember that marvelously sunny day because it was my first date with my husband-to-be, Alex, and Lynn and Penny made it special.
My condolences to all of Lynn’s family. He will be missed.

Lynn was always easy to work with and talk to. Over the years at Gavilan, we interacted many times. I'm sorry to hear of his passing. I venture to think he took his sickness in stride as he did all things. My condolences to his family. Bea Lawn--

I’m sad to hear of Lynn’s passing. I taught with him at Britton, and he coached me in assisting him coach the cross-country team for a few years. I admired his patience and wry sense of humor. His positive attitude affected all who he encountered, improving the self-esteem of so many of his students. I feel fortunate to have known Lynn.

I’m sorry to hear of Lynn’s passing. We were classroom neighbors at Britton for awhile, before he moved to Gavilan. He was such a nice person. I also have fond memories of the day he invited the Britton staff to a party at Doc Rickett’s lab in Monterey, as he was a member of the club that owns the building. Just one example of his kind spirit. My thoughts are with you, his family, as you process this loss. I hoe you find comfort in one another and in your own memories.

A dear friend from third and fourth grades. Jim Parker, Paul Taylor, Jim Dozier, and Lynn. Best friends for life. Wild indians running around the forests with homemade bows and arrows. Kicking over Pack Rat nests looking for treasure.
I am so sorry for your loss. Jim Dozier

Lynn was a diehard South Valley Symphony supporter for many years. He performed different duties and would step in to wherever he was needed. He will be missed. Rest In Peace, Lynn.

I remember Lynn and Penny, from childhood events with Sarah. Sending much love and peace to Sarah, Penny, and the entire extended family at this time. You won't remember me, but your family/dad/husband certainly had an impact on my life when I was a child. Thank you for that.

Lynn and Penny have been friends for over 45 years. We have shared many experiences in common which created a bond. We remember Lynn as a runner, symphony supporter and dedicated math teacher at both Britton Middle School and Gavilan College. He was a real community contributor and we will miss him.
