Alexis McPhail Obituary

Alexis "Alix" Jade McPhail

May 8, 1996 - June 5, 2021

The most beautiful daughter, sister, and friend has left this Earth.

Alix was born in Grand Junction, Colorado, May 8, 1996, on a beautiful summer day. She brought beauty to everyone and into everything. She loved the outdoors and loved to share it with others.

Alix graduated from Central High School in 2014, lettering in band all three years. She joined the US Army, where she was at the top of her class in both marksmanship and smarts. She went on to become a re-fueling engineer and continued her journey in civilian life. She was last employed at CAPCO, where once again, her beautiful personality and kindness attracted friends where ever she went. She always thought of others before herself. She was beautiful; she was a great friend, sister, daughter, and granddaughter. Lexi and her mother had a connection like no other; her father lost his best friend and fishing buddy. We will always love you.

Alix is survived by her parents, Aaron and Janine McPhail; brother, Scottland McPhail; sister, Brooklynn (Tommy) Low, and her little buddy, nephew, Carter; niece, Emalynn; grandparents, Randy and Barbara McPhail, and grandfather, Richard Pals. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Barbara "Ruby" Pals.

Military services will be held at Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2830 Riverside Pkwy., in Grand Junction on July 14, at 10:00 a.m. We would love for all who loved and knew her to join her family to say goodbye.

A celebration of life will be held at her grandparents immediately after the services. We love you Alix!

This world is less bright now that Alix is gone. Her light was inspiring and infectious. She was incredibly selfless. Alix always chose giving before receiving. She was accountable, honest, full of love, and willing to do anything for anyone. There is a gaping hole in my heart for the loss of my dear friend. She went too soon and had way more to give. This is one of greatest tragedies I have witnessed in my lifetime. Alix you are loved and missed beyond expression. I will meet you on the other side my soul sister.
