Alice Wegner Obituary
October 29, 1917 - November 1, 2015
"On the Road Again", Alice passed over to Glory's side shortly after her 98th birthday.
Growing up in Stanton, Nebraska she headed west with husband, Don Wegner (deceased), in 1946 to settle in Grand Junction. They made many trips back home for reunions with her five brothers and five sisters. Beginning in 1962, the family enjoyed adventures at Lake Powell for decades.
"Granny Flash" loved her country, her family, her 1966 SS 396 Caprice, Rock Jam, Pink Floyd, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Broncos, her "Blue Angel" and our troops and veterans. We know our ever curious Mom is wondering "What Now?" as she begins this next great adventure. Have fun Mom! Miss you already!

Viewing will be November 7th from 11:30 to 1:30 at Kokopelli Chapel, 455 Kokopelli Dr., Fruita. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Veteran's Crown Point Cemetery, 945 23 1/2 Road, Grand Junction.
Contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Alzheimer's Association- Greater Grand Junction Area Chapter, 2232 N. 7th St., Suite B-1, Grand Junction, 81501.

We love you Aunt Allie, you will be missed dearly I can remember so clearly all of your brothers and sister (My grandpa Harry) all setting around a big table playing 31 now your days can be filled playing 31 with all again My dad took this pretty hard but some day we all will join you and will have the biggest family reunion Heaven has ever seen I love you dearly till we meet again Diana

My thoughts are with the Wegner family members. I have known all of you since I was a child, and Alice was like an aunt to me. She was a very special lady.
