Blanche Buescher Obituary

Blanche Buescher November 2, 1924 – June 28, 2010 Blanche Buescher, 84, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. Blanche was born in Palisade, Colorado to Tom Bertram and Angelina (Rosa) Bertram on November 2, 1924. Blanche graduated from Palisade High School and obtained a degree from Colorado State University in Home Economics. Blanche taught school in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and then later in Grand Junction. Blanche was featured in the local papers with illustrating her culinary talents. Many of her recipes were published in various cook books. She loved to entertain at her home for her friends and family. Blanche married the love of her life, Ernest D. Buescher and was blessed with two children, Thomas D. Buescher and Louis A. Buescher. Blanche was active in the soft drink business with her husband Ernie. They traveled around the country and the world and truly enjoyed life. Blanche was a member of Bookcliff Country Club, University of Women, The Dirty Dozen and Sweet Lips. Golf was one of her favorite activities in which she enjoyed with Ernie and their golfing buddies. Blanche is survived by her son, Louis A. Buescher; grandsons, Benjamin Buescher, Brett Buescher, Jonathan Buescher; her sister, Jean Bertram, and brother-in-law, Al Merlino. Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie Buescher; son, Thomas Buescher; grandchildren, Heather Buescher, Danny Buescher, and Kristopher Buescher. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, Merillac Clinic, and Catholic Outreach. Viewing will be held at Calahan-Edfast Mortuary on Friday July 2, 2010 starting at 2:00 p.m with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services are on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Immaculate Heart of Mary church commencing at 10:00 a.m.

I loved Blanche for her kindess and love for everyone. She was the opitome of loving life in the face of many many tragedies. I would ask her how do you do it? She would just say with determination and resolve. You just do! I loved her and I will miss her.
