Charles Cox Obituary

Charles V. Cox
December 1, 1930 - October 8, 2018
Charles was born in Oak Valley, KS, a small farming community, to Victor and Ruth Cox on December 1, 1930. He was raised and attended first through twelfth grades in Kansas. He then attended Junior College in Independence, KS.
Charles married Marcadean Hopper on December 30, 1950. They had three children. The couple lived in Independence, KS and Mandan, ND before moving to Grand Junction in 1957.
Charles worked in oil refineries. He was instrumental in starting Little League in Grand Junction. He played many kinds of sports in school and loved watching the Denver Broncos.
Surviving him are his wife; son, Jim (Teri); daughters, Debbie (Julio) Reyes, Sandra (Bob) Mueller, all of Grand Junction; seven grandchildren and their spouses, and 11 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.
He was a Charter Member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. Services will be held at the church on Monday, October 15 at 6:00 p.m.

I always looked forward to seeing him for his annual eye exam. He had a wonderful laugh and made everyone in the office smile. Thank you! You will be greatly missed! Our love and prayers to Marcadean and family.
