Craig Cox Obituary

Craig Paul Cox Craig Paul Cox passed away on April 27, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with Thyroid Cancer. He was surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.

I had the pleasure of working with Craig for several years while in San Diego, Ca. Many great memories during this time while on and off the job. He had a great sense of humor and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a great friend and I will miss him deeply.

My deepest condolences to the Cox family.

I had the good fortune of Craig's friendship while growing up in Grand Junction. So many pleasant memories from that time in our lives; backyard wiffleball, neighborhood frisbee golf, nights at the mini-golf course, all-season basketball on the eight footers at Orchard Avenue Elementary, basking in the early summer sun at JUCO baseball games, hiking to the swimming hole on the Monument, hundreds (maybe thousands?) of meals at the North Ave Taco Bell, and fishing trips on Grand Mesa. His intelligence, wit and optimism added zest to any situation or adventure.

My deepest condolences to Terry, Ken, Karen and the entire Cox family. Craig was truly one this world's good guys and I'm grateful for the impact he had on my life. He will be missed.

The Cox Cabin at Grand Mesa.....a favorite childhood memory with my cousin Craig! Our family, the Angel family, went to the cabin when we were young. My brother Vince, Craig and I walked around the lake, fishing poles in hand. They were ahead of me as I was much younger and they walked fast but one of their fishing lines, complete with a hook, came loose and caught on my head. Cousin Craig "saved me" as he removed the hook. Haha! We used to talk about that time as we grew older. He was my hero from that day on. I am saddened by his loss and sincerely pray for peace and comfort to his family. Much love to you all.
