Dellie H. Cox age 101, formerly of Mt. Washington, returned to his Heavenly Father on March 26,2026
He was born on August 24, 1924 in Anderson County, Kentucky, son of Sam and Emma Hill Cox.
Dellie retired from International Harvester as a Tool and Die Maker. He worked many years at General Electric and worked hard on the farm in Anderson County as a young man.
He was a very hardworking family man who always thought about others before himself. Both he and his wife, Gladys worked in Children’s Church at Cedar Creek Baptist for 30 years, and he was a member who served diligently at Living Hope Baptist Church also. So much so that friends at Living Hope dubbed him “Dellie Do-All”. Most recently, he attended Beulahland Bible Baptist Church.
Dellie was a very devoted family man. He loved to take his family on vacations and he loved fishing too. He loved cooking and especially making homemade pies!
In addition to his parents, Dellie was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Gladys; and step-children, Wayne Gorden and Darl McQuire.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Len Cox, Sherry Farmer (Allen), and Richard Cox (Carol); grandchildren, Leah and Jed Cox, Tammy Tinnell, Brent Farmer, Kimberly Bryan and Michael Fulkerson; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
