Stephanie Chapel Obituary

Stephanie Lynn Chapel Stephanie Lynn Chapel passed away following a courageous battle with Throat Cancer. She was 68 years old. Steph was born April 6, 1956, the daughter of Phil & Verna Karly. She graduated from Grand Junction High School and attended CSU on a music scholarship. She married Steve Chapel in August of1982. She worked for Grand Valley National Bank and then the law firm of Lacroix & Hand for several years, retiring when Steve retired. She loved birds of all types and was Nurse Chapel to an injured hummer for a while. She always had binoculars close by to check out different birds, whether at home or in the mountains. She is survived by her husband Steve, her daughter-in-law Kimberly & 5 Grand Kids, two in Virginia and three in Missouri, also her brother Greg (Lonni) & niece Joanna (Kevin). She always wished she could have spent more time with the Grandkids, and she loved them dearly. Her son Luke preceded her in death April 18th, just 4 weeks before she passed away. Not many people knew about Stephs cancer because she did not want anyone to treat her differently once they knew. Her wishes of no services will be honored.
