Ted Tol Obituary
Ted van Tol went to be with his faithful Savior on November 18, 2015, at the age of 56. Ted was born in Escondido, California on September 4, 1959, the son of John and Gertrude van Tol. He was a compassionate man, strong in his Christian faith. He enjoyed working on classic cars, tending to his dairy cows, and most of all, loving his family unconditionally.
He was extremely proud of his four daughters and their families - Desiree and Nick Rodgers, Richelle and Scott Stevenson, Lindsay van Tol, and Christine van Tol. He was preceded in death by his father John van Tol. He leaves behind his mother, Gertie; his daughters and grandchildren, Jordyn, Chase and Justice Rodgers, and two to be born in January; his brothers Gerrit, John, Jake, Casey, Tom, and Daniel; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Ted had been a member of Grace Reformed Church in Willows for 28 years. He served faithfully as an elder and a Sunday Bible teacher for many of those years.
There will be a public viewing from 3:00 - 7:00 pm on Friday, November 27, 2015 at F.D. Sweet & Son, 114 N. Shasta Street, Willows. The funeral will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Memorial Hall, 320 3rd Street in Orland, followed by graveside services at 11:00 am at the Germantown Cemetery located on Road N between Roads 30 and 33 in Artois. For those not attending the graveside services, lunch will begin at 11:00 at the Memorial Hall and will continue for those attending the graveside.
Donations in Ted's memory can be made to Grace Reformed Church in Willows or to Providence Christian School in Orland.

I'm so sorry to hear about Ted's passing. I can only imagine the impact this is having on all of you. He was way too young. Praying that God's love and grace will sustain you all.

We are saddened to hear of Ted's passing. My brothers and sisters remember the Van Tol brothers well and have many happy memories of them. Be at peace.
