Anastasia Marie Hart

1957 - 2024

Anastasia Marie Hart, 67, of Atoka, TN passed away on April 25, 2024, after the effects of a sudden heart attack and stroke. She was born January 30, 1957, in Dubuque, IA. Ann is survived by her husband Dennis of Atoka, TN, son Adam Hart and wife Meredith of Fayetteville, NC and daughter Katie Gronostaj and husband Mike of Memphis, TN; three beloved grandchildren, Danielle and Addison Hart; Jack Gronostaj; four sisters, Rosalie Campbell of Mason City, IA, Mary Burke of Cedar Falls, IA, Susan Grant (Dennie) of Charles City, IA, Veronica Newton (Lyle) of Stacyville, IA, along with many other relatives and friends.

After high school, Ann attended accounting school, worked for Winnebago Industries, and then began working for Wallace Computer Services in Osage, IA where she met her husband, Denny. Denny & Ann married on June 4, 1977, just four months after meeting and quickly falling in love. They would have celebrated their 47th anniversary together this year. In 1989, the family moved to Covington, TN where Ann was the very best stay at home mom. In 2004, Ann went to work for Patriot Bank and spent time working at the Millington, Covington, and Atoka branches. She retired in 2018 as the Atoka Branch Manager to take care of Jack, which was by far her most special job of all.

Ann was vibrant, nurturing, full of life and maybe best known for being a bit bossy. She had a true passion and gift for cooking and enjoyed gardening, reading, playing cards, being an honorary mama to so many and loving her family and friends so well. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Memphis Botanic Garden on Saturday, June 1, 2024, between 2:00 - 5:00pm in Memphis, TN. The family will have a small service, burial, and an additional Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at the Cedar Valley Seminary Building between 2:00 - 4:00pm in Osage, IA.
