Bette Criffield Obituary
February 17, 1940 - November 27, 2024
Bette Anderson Keough, age 84, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025, at the Alden United Methodist Church in Alden, Iowa, with the Reverend Jason Ellingson officiating. Inurnment will be in the Alden Cemetery, followed by a luncheon and celebration of Bette's life in the lower level of Ashbrook Assisted Living in Alden.
Bette was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Grayce Thompson; husbands, Randy Keough and Melvin Criffield; ex-husband, Wood Anderson; and a brother-in-law, Thomas Dunning.
Survivors include her three children, Michael (Ginger) Anderson of McKinney, TX and children Ryan Anderson of Denver, CO, Matthew Anderson of Tampa, FL, and Austin Anderson of Anna, TX; Ned (Tammy) Anderson of Bella Vista, AR and children Elizabeth Dutton of Florida, Ashley Morrison of Jacksonville, FL, and Katie Tipling of Gravite, AR; and Jane (Andy) Huffman of Navarre, FL, and children Amanda Kester of Gulf Breeze, FL, and Nicholas Huffman of Pensacola, FL; seven great-grandchildren; and many other beloved relatives and friends.
Bette was a talented artist who enjoyed golfing and will be forever remembered for her beautiful smile and quick wit. Above all, though, is her legacy of fierce love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

My mom will be remembered as an amazing happy, loving mother. I will miss her daily as she was always a part of my life. In every way positive I love you, and this pain is unexplainable rest in peace mom.
