Max Brooks Obituary

GROVER - Mr. Max Donald Brooks, 66, of 108 Yoda Drive, died Friday, July 11, 2008, at home.
A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Otis Dwayne and Willie Lee Logan Brooks. Mr. Brooks was an Army veteran and attended Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, his daughter, Adrian Lorraine Brooks, stepdaughter, Marilynn Brooks and sister, Dorothy Raye Brooks Morgan preceded him in death.
He is survived by sons, Otis D. Brooks (Kimberly) of Lowell, Max D. Brooks (Dorothy) of Bowman, Ga., and Marcus R. Brooks of Honolulu; stepson, Donnie A. Burch of Lincolnton; daughters, Donna L. Brooks of Washington, D.C., Tracy D. Brooks of Kings Mountain and Kendra Brooks of Washington, N.C., Valencia D. Brooks and Adrienne Sparling (David), all of Washington, D.C.; stepdaughters, Yolanda Brooks of Frederick, Md., and Yvette Hummons (Kevin) of Washington, D.C.; 24 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Brooks-Bey of Grover; aunt, Leedesia Brooks of Shelby; uncles, Will Logan and Marshall Logan, both of South Carolina; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral: Friday, July 18, at 2 p.m. at Church of Christ
Visitation: The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
Burial: Sunset Cemetery
