OSAGE - Thelma Scharper, age 73, of Osage, died Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage. Cremation has taken place.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at the United Church of Christ in Osage at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2018, with Pastor Charles Owens officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.
Thelma was born April 7, 1944, in Osage the daughter of Delber and Elleanora (Richman) Loudermilk.
She graduated from Osage High school in 1962. Thelma married Dick Lincoln in 1963 and to this union 3 daughters were born. They later divorced. Thelma married Larry Scharper in 1981. She had many jobs, Dental Assistant to Dr. Krapek; Day Care in her home for over 11 years; Office receptionist at Soil and Water Conservation office; Teller for Pioneer Bank and Loan; Pharmacy Assistant at Osage Pharmacy; Study Hall Supervisor at Osage High School; Mitchell County Home Health and Street Chiropractic before retirement.
She loved to entertain her grandchildren, and be thoughtful to all her friends, always remembering them whatever the occasion.
Thelma is survived by husband, Larry Scharper of Osage, three daughters, Danelle (Craig) Sampson of Byers, Colorado, Deb Lincoln of Urbandale, Laura Lincoln of Parker, Colorado; stepchildren, Terry (Tracy) Scharper of Osage, Charlotte (Dan) Gordon of Grafton, Cory (fiancée Deb Nash) Scharper of Osage; grandchildren, Samantha, Emily and Sarah Cardoso, Brooke, Samantha and Luke Scharper, Codie, Connor and Carlie Gordon, Jarett, Jayden and Jenna Scharper, Jason (Abby) Sampson and Luke Sampson; great-grandchild, Maverick Sampson: three sisters, Della (Gene) Cordle of Osage, Clarissa (Harley) Johnson of Osage, Frances Johnson of Osage; brother, Paul Loudermilk of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; sister-in-law, Margit Loudermilk of North Hollywood, California; brothers-in-law, Jerry Scharper of Montezuma and Armond Scharper of Plymouth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Del and Elleanora Loudermilk; father and mother in-law, Robert and Lucille Scharper; brother, Roland Loudermilk; brothers-in-law, Mervin (Irish) Comisky and Kenneth Johnson.
