Thomas Mackin Obituary
October 13, 1961 - May 25, 2025
Mackin, Thomas John, 63, of Vero Beach, FL passed away suddenly in Positano, Italy. Originally from Mason City, Iowa, Tom was a loving husband, devoted father, and adoring grandfather. He is survived by his wife of nearly 39 years, Christine; son John Mackin; daughter Anna Palmer (Andrew); granddaughters Annabelle and Lilianna; mother Maureen Mackin; siblings Kathleen Anderson (Rick) and Jim Mackin (Denise Long); and many dear in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. He also had a profound impact on the fishing community. A lifelong outdoorsman, Tom helped shape and grow some of the most beloved brands in the fishing world, leaving behind a legacy that spans far beyond business. Tom brought joy, laughter, and warmth to every life he touched. He loved the outdoors, adventure, and sharing special moments with his family and friends. His kindness, faith, and enthusiasm for life left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Memorial Mass will be held Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Victoria Parish Family in Victoria, MN. Visitation begins at 9:30 a.m. Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia. 952-442-2121 www.johnsonfh.com.
