MASON CITY -Victorianna Alarcon, 71, of Mason City died Friday, April 26, 2013, at Good Shepherd Health Center.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, at Praise Community Church, 11 Second St. N.W., Mason City. Officiating will be the Rev. Arvith Foat.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Cremation was her choice of final disposition.

Victorianna Minjares Alarcon was born on June 8, 1941, in Chihuahua, Mexico, the daughter of Manuel Alarcon and Consuelo Minjares. She graduated with a GED from North Iowa Area Community College. She was a teacher's aide for the Mason City School System and for the rest of her career she worked as a dietary aid in the Nutritional Services Department of Mercy Hospital. She also helped the hospital by acting as an interpreter.
Her favorite activities were sewing, quilting and crocheting. She loved going out to eat with her family and spending time with them. She was always after a bargain and shopped secondhand stores. She liked to dance and hang out at the Cozy Corner Bar. Evenings were spent watching mystery stories on "20/20," "48 Hours" and "60 Minutes." She enjoyed going with her family on trips to visit her relatives in Mexico.
Surviving Victorianna are her four children: Gabino and his wife, Marti Delgado, Springfield, Mo., Fernando and his wife, Jodi Delgado, Monica Alarcon and special friend Austin, Alicia Alarcon and special friend Roger, all of Mason City; 12 grandchildren: Amanda, Andrew, Corrina, Samantha, Peggijo, Lexi (Eric), Fernando Jay, Diego, Isaiah, Javon, Yael and Nettie; three great-grandchildren: Breonna, Lyric and Ryder; and her brother and sister, Manuel and Kika Alarcon.
Her parents, brothers and sisters, Manuel and Consuelo Alarcon, Pedro Alarcon, and Teresa Alarcon, preceded Victorianna in death.
