Everette Bernard Pulley, age 85, of Danville, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018, at Lynchburg General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, in Lynchburg, Va. He was born on March 12, 1933, in Brunswick, Va., to the late Andrew Pulley and the late Nona Powell Pulley. Everette was married to Brenda Sheppard Pulley who survives of the residence. Everette was a member of Shermont Baptist Church. He was a past Commander Danville Archer Gammon Post, Chapter 19 and a member of American Legion Post 325. Everette was an avid wood worker. In addition to his wife, Brenda he is survived by two daughters, Pamela Pulley Curtis (David) and Kathy Toufas Crooks, all of Danville; five sons, E. Keith Pulley of Virginia Beach, Va., Walter C. Pulley (Amanda) of Sutherlin, Va., John A. Pulley (Lauren) of Danville, Christopher E. Toufas (Jenny) of Danville, and Billy Toufas (Kathy) of Collinsville, Va.; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; special friend, Charles Rigney; and special pet, Sophia. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Andrew T. Pulley and Clarence E. Pulley; and a granddaughter. A memorial service will be held 6 p.m., Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Norris Funeral Services, Inc., West End Chapel, 511 Church Ave., Danville, VA 24541, with the Rev. Ryan Riley officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 6 p.m., Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Norris Funeral Services, Inc., West End Chapel prior to the memorial services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Veterans War Memorial Community Foundation, P.O. Box 1039, Danville, VA 24543.
