HARRIET WYATT Obituary
Harriet Bertine Wyatt of 112 Bridgewater Court died November 29, 2009, at the age of 87.
She was the daughter of the late Herbert Cable Bertine and Esther Alice Bertine of White Plains, New York. Mrs. Wyatt graduated from Averett College in 1942 and in 1946 she married Garland Murray Wyatt when he returned from serving in the military during World War II. Mrs. Wyatt retired from J. W. Wyatt & Company in 1988 where she served for 42 years as the director of finance. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wyatt is survived by her brother Richard Bertine of Wakefield, Rhode Island and one daughter, Susan (Sue) Wyatt Holmes and her husband Dr. A. Baron Holmes, IV of Columbia, SC. and three grandchildren of South Carolina.
Reverend Stephen Cook will officiate graveside rites on Tuesday, December 1, at 11a.m. at the Wyatt family plot in Mountain View Cemetery. Condolence correspondence may be sent to the family at 216 Turkey Pointe Circle, Columbia, SC 29223. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be given to First Baptist Church, 871 Main Street Street, Danville, Va. 24541 or the charity of one's choice.

Sue,
I have so many fond memories of your mom from our growing up days. After I left Danville, she would never failed to run over to me in church when I'd come home, give me a hug, and ask me about my family. You were her pride and joy. What a legacy of love! My thoughts and prayers are with you.
