Jean Marshall Hicks

June 26, 1933 - October 25, 2021

Ms. Jean Marshall Hicks, age 88, of Montgomery Village, Maryland, passed on October 25, 2021, at Montgomery Village Health Care Center.

Ms. Hicks was born on June 26, 1933, in Danville, Virginia, to the late Marshall Compton and Sara Dunaway Compton.

Ms. Hicks worked as a cashier for more than 45 years before retirement.

Ms. Hicks is survived by her children, Michael Hicks, Steven Hicks, Wendy Hicks, and Christopher Hicks; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Riley Compton, Delma Miller, Pencie Young, Pauline Reed, James Compton, David Compton, and Simon Compton.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Hicks was predeceased by her son, Thomas Hicks; daughter, Terry Hicks; and siblings, John Compton, Cora Campbell, and Jack Compton.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Highland Burial Park with Doctor Charles Scearce officiating.
