John Champion Obituary
John was an active member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, in Fleetwood. He was an avid sports fan and never missed an opportunity to attend a sporting event and cheer for his team. He also was the driver for an "Over 50" race team, Blind Squirrel Racing, and enjoyed running time trials and hill climbs in his 1979 Rabbit. John was a head of document control for Siemens VDO Automotive, Allentown Pa.
He will be greatly missed by family and many friends.
Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel United Methodist Church on Wednesday April 18, with the Rev. George Sackett officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 26 W. Washington St., Fleetwood PA, 19522.

One in a million. I'm so sad that he won't be with us anymore, but have such great memories of the times we had together. Seeing that white hair and beard stolling into the mix always meant something interesting, funny or insightfull was going to be shared. He will always be with us, each in our own way. I will always remember the way you said the way "Thank You," when you were telling the kids how they can redeem their foul ball for tickets to the arcade. John, I was so delighted to have been able to know you,especially being raised in the south myself! You were a true southern gentleman and the best "SOUTHERN" Santa we at One by One Cat Rescue ever had. This next Christmas we will remember you and we will miss you. I only met you in December when you played Santa for us at Petsmart. I know you loved your cat, Smarty. He will certainly miss you, he was one lucky boy to have had a great home with you. You will be missed by the folks of One by One Cat Rescue.

We were very sad to hear about the passing of John. We worked with John at VDO in Winchester, VA. John was a fun loving man. One of our fondest memories was him playing Santa Claus at VDO Christmas Parties.He will be greatly missed!
