Big Jon Haynes

RINGGOLD, Va. - Jonathan Brooks Haynes, 43, of Ringgold Depot Road, died Monday, March 21, 2005 in the Emergency Dept. of Danville Regional Medical Center as the result of injuries from a motorcycle accident.

Born June 5, 1961 in Danville, he was the son of Rena Hubbard Haynes and the late Bud Dewey Haynes.

He lived in the Danville area, worked as an over-the-road truck driver, and was of the Methodist faith.

He was a member of the Scorpions Motorcycle Club for 16 years.

He was married to Robyn Carter Haynes.

In addition to his wife, of the residence, and his mother, of Danville, he is survived by one daughter, Montana Rae Haynes of the residence; one son, Christopher Carter Haynes of the residence; and a sister, Debbie H. Deloach of Chincoteague, Va.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 25 at Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel with the Rev. Thomas B. Shepherd officiating. Interment will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel and at other times they will be at 100 Whitmell School Road, Dry Fork.

The family suggests that memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association or the Ringgold Fire & Rescue, P.O. Box 10, Ringgold, VA 24586.

Wrenn-Yeatts Funeral Home, Westover Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

I`m deeply sadddened at our loss of Jon, one of the dearest friends I ever had ,his big heart and willingness to allways lend a helping hand even if it meant putting him in harms way,

We rarely in life have friends like Jon was to me, in the 30 years that I knew him never once were any hard feelings between us something very special from the start.
