June 12, 1943 - April 9, 2023
Juan Solis, age 79, of Chatham, Va., entered into rest on Sunday, April 9, 2023, at his residence. Mr. Solis was born on June 12, 1943, in Mexico, to the late Isidora Gomez Solis and the late Gabino Solis.
Mr. Solis was an equipment operator for Haymes Brothers Construction and a dedicated employee for 35 years. He will always be remembered as a hardworking, kindhearted, and loving husband, father, stepfather, and dedicated friend to all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Isabel Valderrama of the residence; children, Guadalupe Mitchen and her husband, Travis, of Chatham, Rosa Long of Blairs, Daniel Solis, Gabino Solis and his wife, Erika, and Anselmo Solis and his wife, Robin; stepchildren, Esmeralda Valderrama, Sergio Valderrama, Rosaelia Valderrama, Felipe A. Valderrama, 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and 13 step-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023,,1 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services, Chatham Chapel, 147 S. Main St. Chatham, Va. with Rolando Guardia officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the Celebration of Life from 12 until 1 p.m.
