Margaret Alease Gibson Lawrence

Margaret Alease Gibson Lawrence of Danville, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at the age of 87. She was born on May 8, 1934, to the late Addie Adkins Gibson Williams and the late Fletcher Lee Buck Gibson. She was predeceased by her husband, James William Lawrence.

Margaret was of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Beam of Danville, Virginia; her sons, Earl Wayne Gentry of Whitesburg, Kentucky, and Jimmy Gentry of Naples, Florida; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sons, Bobby Gentry and Dennis Ray Lawrence; her brothers, Jimmy Gibson, Willard Gibson, Vernon Gibson, and Alton Gibson, and her sisters, Myrtle Gibson, Janie Gibson, and Shirley Newcomb.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2021, at Norris Funeral Services' Mt. Hermon Chapel with Pastor Hershel Stone officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at the same location. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park.
