Sherri L. Walker, 53, of 2457 Vandola Road, Danville, Va., passed into the arms of her Savior, on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on July 27, 1963, in Pittsylvania County, to Barbara Moss Matherly and the late Jerry Matherly. Ms. Walker worked in invoice processing at CIT in Danville. She attended the Westover Hills PH Church. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Joshua Walker and wife, Nicole, of Danville; her sister, Angie Dellis and husband, Tim, of Danville; her brother, Brian Matherly of Danville; her nephew, Coby Dellis of Danville; her close friends, Joy and Billy Hardy of Danville; and her beloved cat, "Snookie". The family will receive friends from 12:30to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Norris West End Chapel, and at other times at the residence of her son, Joshua Walker, 5965 Mt. Cross Road, Danville. Following the visitation, graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Danville Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Stephen White officiating.
